those of us who consider McCartney (along with Brian Wilson) the 20th century's best songwriter -- vastly superior to his otherwise talented Beatles colleague, George Harrison -- are extremely worried by his religious music infatuation. In this, the 1990s "Liverpool Oratorio" can only be a bad omen.
(And I won't mention his book of "poetry", the appalling Blackbird Singing)
I'll try not to read __ much less to listen -- anything related to this new oratorio, because I admire him so
