TKTS Booth Construction Moves at a Snail's Pace

From my office, I have a perfect view of Duffy Square and the home of the TKTS Booth. Over a year ago, the TKTS Booth closed and its temporary location was opened at the Marriott Marquis. I rarely use the TKTS discount - same day tickets for many Broadway and off-Broadway shows at 1/2 price for cash. I don't care to stand in a long line for 1/2 price tickets when I can find discounts at BroadwayBox in advance and with a better choice of seats. Besides, in case you haven't noticed, spontaneity isn't my strong suit, as I prefer to plan my events months in advance. but I can't understand what the heck is taking so long with the construction on the booth, which looks more like a snail shell, and Duffy Square. Still, TKTS, managed by the Theatre Development Fund, does serve a great purpose - perhaps a tourist will see a show on a last minute whim and they'll get hooked on Broadway and other live performances.

(I took this photo at 11:00 a.m. on a weekday - notice that it's a ghosttown of a construction site - not a worker, union or not, in sight.)
