Indeed. I just picked up a fantastic bootleg DVD of Ella performing with the great jazz guitarist Joe Pass that I finally got a chance to look at last night. She is in top form and obviously enjoying every second of the show. Several times she catches Joe tossing out a particularly tasty bebop line, and she throws him a grin that seems to say "go ahead on, I'm not stopping you!"
