A Broadway Birthday Weekend

Noah and I played the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels lottery last night and won big time. It was exciting to visit the show again, especially from the front row. I loved seeing Jonathan Pryce and Lucie Arnez in the cast and Norbert Leo Butz is hotter than ever. Sherie Renee Scott was belting her heart out. And of course, you can't beat seeing a show for $25. While waiting for the bus, I realized that Lucie was standing next to us so we talked to her about seeing her sing at the TheatreWorld Awards.

Tonight, I'll be seeing Beauty and the Beast. Hey, I'm not paying for it, so I'm putting aside my theatre snobbery for the evening. My dear friend Carol is visiting from San Antonio and is treating me to the ticket. I intend to have fun and remember how much I loved the animated version.

Tomorrow I'll be doing what I love best - attending The Tale again. Hey, it's my birthday and let's just say that this attendance will make me legal. Plus, I'll be with two of my favorite people, Noah and Kristin, and we'll be down front where we'll be on our best behavior so as not to piss off The Patti.
