The cast of In the Heights performed at Broadway in Bryant Park Yesterday. The new musical about Latinos and their experience in Washington Heights, New York City, In the Heights garnered Drama Desk and Lucille Lortell Awards, as well as a Theatre World Award for its writer and leading man Lin-Manuel Miranda. I'm not so sure about the hip hop/rap, but I really dig the salsa rhythm of it. It closes off-Broadway this weekend and is scheduled to move to Broadway, although a theatre and opening date has yet to be announced.

In the Heights is a must see Sarah! I loved everything about it. Although it is hiphop/rap based music, the lyrics really move the story along. Can't wait to see the changes made for the broadway production!

Ok not really, but I do miss the shows in NYC, I don't miss the crowds of NYC.
