Sunny Sunday

The sun is shining and the time has finally sprung forward. It was a beautiful day for a walk in Central Park with a Diva Mix playlist of joyful and melancholy tunes: Rosemary Clooney (What'll I Do, Tenderly) Ella Fitzgerald (Blue Skies, How Long Has This Been Going On), Etta James (At Last, A Sunday Kind of Love), Renee Fleming (When Did You Leave Heaven?, My Cherie Amour), Bernadette Peters (The Gentleman is a Dope, There Won't Be Trumpets) Patti LuPone (Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens, Get Here), Bette Midler (The Glory of Love, In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening), Liza Minnelli (Ring Them Bells, Maybe This Time), Chita Rivera (Where You Are), Angela Lansbury (When I'm Drunk I'm Beautiful, That's How Young I Feel) and Billie Holliday (All of Me, In My Solitude).

And tonight, another visit to Grey Gardens.

Oh my God, the sun had better still be shining on Friday! It's done nothing but storm here for the past 24 hours -- misery & woe everywhere! Spring in the midwest is no spring at all, I'm telling you.
