Met Opera in Central Park
Met Opera in Central Park is just what I needed on Tuesday night. We split a bottle of good red wine (Serenity label from Chile - 55% merlot and 45% cabernet sauvignon - bought cause the label was pretty). There were over 30,000 New Yorkers (and some dogs, one that barked with approval at every opportunity for applause) on the Great Lawn of Central Park. We couldn't see the stage but we could hear the lovely music via giant speakers. It didn't sound perfect but it did sound lovely, besides we were there to be New Yorkers who do this because they can.
