Tonight on ABC: A Raisin in the Sun

I have been anticipating seeing A Raisin in the Sun on tv for a very long time and it's finally here tonight. I saw the Broadway revival in 2004 - one of the first plays I saw here in New York - and I loved every minute of it. Sean Combs was suprisingly good, and Phylicia Rashad and Audra McDonald were miraculous. Phylicia and Audrea both took home the Tony that year for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress respectively.

I'm so sorry I missed the Broadway production, but I'll be parking myself in front of my television this evening! Thanks for the reminder!!

I'm looking forward to this, although I'm a little nervous about Sean Combs. I saw the movie with Sidney Poitier years ago, and I just don't know if he can channel the same intensity and anger.

I caught the last two hours - aside from the MANY COMMERCIALS, it was fantastic. Combs was better than expected(and I had really, really low expectations, so it's not saying much), but the women were amazing.

In between my obsession of Jimmy Kimmel's "I'm F**king Ben Affleck" video, I caught most of it. It was great, both of them.
