"White, a blank page, or canvas. The challenge? Bring order to the whole, through design, composition, tension, balance, light and harmony." Sondheim, Sunday in the Park with George.

Notice the wall. It is white. A blank page. Thank goodness my stylish friend Kari is helping me change this. Not only did she donate this lamp, she helped carry it down 4 flights of stairs and up several blocks. Some friends are willing to loan you a cup of sugar, some go a little further. Now, everybody who knows me will agree that I tend to procrastinate. A lot. Most of the time. But the new sofa's there. And now there's the lamp. I did paint the tv cart, desk and bookshelf which gave them the Louise Nevelson Look. And I did throw away clutter. Stay tuned to see what's next. Just don't hold your breath. I can't promise to hurry on this.

Love the magical noise the lamp makes as it travels across the upper west side.
