The NY Phil Create Your Own Series Book arrived in the mail yesterday. My favorite part? The annual New Year's Eve concert will feature "an acclaimed opera diva." We get it, Loren Maazel, it's all about you this season. When's your last day again? Not soon enough. By the way, no subscription for me this year. I got tired of the weekly calls from just about every department of the NY Phil - the Phil in the schools fund, the general education fund, the wall art fund, the friends fund...it's enough already! I will miss my guaranteed first row, center third tier seat, but I'll get over it.
