Putting It Together, Piece by Piece

On June 3rd, I reported that the new TKTS booth in Duffy Square would open on June 20th. Here we are on August 6th, and it's still not open. At least work is still progressing, even if it's just piece by piece very, very slowly. Meanwhile, the discount ticket service, run by the Theatre Development Fund, has tickets to Broadway, off-Broadway and various other live shows available at three locations:

1. The temporary Times Square booth outside of the Marriott Hotel at 46th street between Broadway and 8th Avenue sells day-of-performance tickets only.
2. The South Street Seaport booth sells tickets to evening performances on the day of the performance, and matinee tickets the day before.
3. The Downtown Brooklyn booth sells tickets to evening performances on the day of the performance, and matinee tickets the day before as well tickets to Brooklyn performing arts events.

Pictures taken on my walk to work and then from the office this morning:

Wow. It took less time to build Neuschwanstein.
