Celebrating Sondheim with Mandy Patinkin at the Public Theatre

There was Mandy, on the Anspacher Stage at the Public Theatre, with a ghost light, no microphone, no intermission, a piano, and barely a pause in transition. And he gave us ALL SONDHEIM. It left me breathless. He's an entertainer, a clown, an enterpreter with a crazy vocal range. I'm still breathless.

Hey Sarah, what a program! I don't know how I missed it and I'm totally envious of your having gone. jan

p.s. your high school photo in the post below is pretty damn cute.

I'm envious too. "In Someone's Eyes?" Interesting -- I was just listening to Paul G's commentary on "In Buddy's Eyes" on the podcast (and Barbara Cook breaks my heart when she sings it) -- so I'm curious about Mandy's take on it.
